Born in New York, Carolyn moved to California in 1994. After working in customer service, sales, and marketing for ten years, she went back to college and got two degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. Getting her degree at UC Berkeley is actually what brought her to California in the first place. She worked in Silicon Valley as a software engineer until she discovered a far more rewarding (and challenging) job - being a mother. Carolyn has managed to thrive here in northern California by being the most laid back New Yorker you have ever met (that, and meeting her husband there). What she did bring from New York was a high calibre work ethic and standards, and an incredible drive. It's that triple-espresso intensity that New Yorkers are known for. Getting a degree from UC Berkeley refined those traits, and raising twin boys have truly tested them. The twins have helped (required) her to reach previously unattainable levels of efficiency and time management (as any mother will attest).
Naturally that knowledge and experience is also applied to Amey Photography. As well as being the backup photographer and assistant at the weddings she manages all aspects of the business from marketing and sales to accounting and office administration. She is also the creator and webmaster of this site site and is the one you will be working with when the time comes to choose and plan out your wedding album. Working from her and Craig's home in beautiful Almaden Valley she will be the one picking up the phone or replying to your email if you call or email Amey Photography.
